Year 5

Welcome to Year 5!

Happy New school year and welcome to Year 5. We are here as a team and are looking forward to working with your children and yourselves to make this an exciting and successful year. Remember, learning is cyclical and needs to be continued at home. We need your support, especially with homework, reading, spelling and multiplication tables and ensuring your children are present as much as possible.

Year 5 this year consists of:

5WB ( Malala class ) : Miss Bailey, Mrs Wooding and Mrs Hay

5C ( Darwin class) : Mr Copete, Mrs Birk and Mrs Hay.

PE days:

Malala class: weds and Thursday

Darwin class: Tuesday and Weds

We have many amazing things we are studying this term including reading the fantastic book 'Hidden figures' in English, looking at our world in geography, looking at the ancient Chinese cultures in our history on Dynamic Dynasties and looking at 'Earth and Space' and 'Forces' in Science.

We already have an exciting visit lined up with a science professional from a company called URENCO coming in to do a series of investigations with Year 5 on separating materials. Photos will follow.
