St Mary's is a special place to be and we are proud of our school and the commmunity who support it.
Our Website will give you a taste of what helps to make us the school we are, but to get a real sense of what makes us special come and visit us. Appointments can be made simply by ringing our school office.
The school office is open Monday to Friday 7:45 am - 4:30pm
We'd love to see you!
An on-going dialogue between school and home is an important part of ensuring all children’s progress and well-being. We therefore have a number of routes to enable this on a daily basis:
Home School Communication Books
All children carry these in their school or book bag as a means of communication between parents and teachers. In Nursery, Reception, Year 1 & Year 2 teaching staff check the children’s books on a daily basis. The older children are expected to inform teachers of any written note.
The End of the Day
This is usually the most convenient time to see a teacher face to face. Parents are encouraged to approach teachers at the end of the school day once all children in the class are in safe care.
Start of the Day
Although teachers may be on site they are not ‘on duty’ until 8:50am when lessons start. Security and children’s safety is of the upmost importance and therefore cannot allow parents into school during this time without an appointment.
- Class teachers
- Key Stage Leaders
- The Deputy Head
Staff will always do everything possible to accommodate appointments at the earliest opportunity. To make an appointment with a member of staff either before or after school please contact the school office:
Parents are invited to attend termly 'Parent Forums'. Forums are a chance for parents to discuss with Mrs Vania Eaglen, Headteacher, topical issues and the schools progress and developments.
