Coronation- May 2023

On Friday 5th May 2023, SMFR celebrated the King's Coronation in style! Throughout the week children have been learning all about the Coronation, creating various written pieces and also taking part in a whole school crown making activity! Every year group had the chance to create crowns fit for a king or queen and used various different materials to make their crowns stand out! 

Children then had a lovely street party themed lunch in the hall filled with decorations, special packed lunches and music! The children loved celebrating together and the day was rounded off by a special assembly where the winners of the best dressed were revealed!

It was so lovely seeing all the children celebrate this significant moment in history!
