English work for Monday

Hello Year 1!

Today in English you need to watch the video above. Try and think carefully about which words rhyme while you listen. Remember rhyming words have the same sound at the end of the word, for example man and can (they both end in an).Your task once you have watched this video is to match up the rhyming words from this poem- the worksheet is below. We would then like you to think of 3 words that rhyme with pen and 2 words that rhyme with bed (again this is all on the sheet below).

Later on this week we are going to plan and write our own poem in a similar style to 'One Mole Digging a Hole' so this will really help remind you all about rhyming.
