English work for Tuesday

Today we are going to come up with some ideas for the poem we are going to write later in the week. I have provided you with a sheet below with different animals on. You need to think of words that rhyme with the animals. Write down as many as you can think of. Use your phonics and sound out the words you are trying to spell. There is also an extension task. We would like you to choose one animal and one of the rhyming words you wrote for that animal to create a funny sentence just like Julia Donaldson did in her poem 'One Mole Digging a Hole.'
