Miss Revell

As a child, growing up at the seaside, my family had several traditions; one of which was whenever it snowed we would go for a walk along the beach, watching the snowflakes melt when on landing in the sea, another regular thing, when my grandparents visited, was to go to the seafront amusement arcades and play the penny slot machines.

Every year before Christmas my parents would take me to London to visit Santa in Selfridges, as it had a big animated story display, on the way there we would stop at Greenwich Park to feed the squirrels (photo attached), then, on Boxing Day, my parents would take me to see a pantomime, something that continued way beyond my childhood, and I have also done with my own daughter, Cordelia.
