SCHOOL BUSINESS MANAGER

Range 5 (£26,721 to £27,859 FTE) 

 

Working Hours:  Flexible hours considered for the right applicant. For example: Our current SBM works 4 days per week during term time (8.00 am – 4:30pm), including INSET days, plus 1 additional week during school holidays.

 

Start Date: Immediate start available

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an EXPERIENCED  School Business Manager to join the team at SMFR, supporting the Headteacher and senior leadership team with all business matters balanced with a hands-on approach necessary for the effective running of the school which include:

 

•   Strategic direction and leadership to all aspects of the school budget, finance and related business administration

•   Departmental leadership and strategic focus

•   Health, safety, property and site management.

•   Effectively managing the human resources

 

As our School Business Manager: you will:

 

•   Have strategic leadership and management experience of areas including finance, human resources, premises and site management and health and safety.

•   Be responsible for effectively managing the main office and administration team, human resources and site team.

•   Have school experience and ideally have a School Business Manager specific qualification and have experience of Sims

•   Be experienced and competent in leading and managing a team and have excellent communication and negotiating skills.

•   Be dedicated to developing positive relationships with all members of the school community

•   Be able to manage a varied workload, work to deadlines and make effective use of IT to support efficient working.

•   Carry out these duties with high levels of discretion and due regard to the importance of confidentiality.

Caretaker

Full-time Range BP2 Scale 11-15

Immediate start

52 Weeks per year with 24 days paid holiday entitlement (to be taken during school holidays) plus Bank Holidays

 

As a member of the School Business Support Team, you will manage and supervise the cleaning and maintenance contractors. You will maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment. Duties will include responsibility for the security and maintenance of the school site.

 

We are looking for someone who is able to work all year round, 37 hours per week. Working hours 7.15am to 11.30am and 2.30pm to 6pm Monday to Friday.

Term Time mid-day Supervisors role available during lunchtime.

During the holidays working hours are available with no split shift.

 

Candidates MUST live within a 20min drive radius of the school, for security purposes
