Welcome to Year 5!
Happy New year to you all and we hope this will be an amazing 2023 for us all. This term Year 5 will be looking at the books, Charlie and the Chocolate factory in the first half term and then revolting rhymes in the second along with Friend or Foe for Guided reading. in maths we will be continuing looking at number and advancing to fractions, decimals and introducing percentages. Science will focus on the study of space and animal biology and in topic we will be improving our map reading skills and compass point understanding along with the historical study of the ancient maya culture in the second half of the term. We hope this to be an exciting and productive term and we thankyou for all your support last term and know you will continue that support now both with the work your children are doing in school and with their home learning, reading and spellings.
